DI COSA SI TRATTA: Bormida è un progetto didattico che da diversi anni si attua all’Istituto Tecnico Industriale Statale di Acqui Terme (Alessandria). Ha carattere pluridisciplinare e la sua realizzazione impegna gli alunni della scuola per l’intero anno scolastico. Le attività educative puntano alla conoscenza del territorio e alla riscoperta dei suoi aspetti anche poco noti. Vengono offerti sistemi e chiavi di lettura per stimolare la comprensione dell’ambiente in tutte le sue componenti: storiche, artistiche, culturali e naturalistiche. Gli argomenti sono affrontati con attività sul campo, per reperire dati ed informazioni, cui fanno seguito le ricerche scientifiche in laboratorio e l'elaborazione del materiale in aula multimediale.

WHAT IS BORMIDA: Bormida is an educational project that for many years has been put into practice Acqui Terme (Alessandria) State Technical school.It has a multidisciplinary character and the students have been working at it for whole school year. The educational activities aim at the territory knowledge and at the rediscovery of its even not well-known aspects. Systems and reading keys are offered to stimolate the enviromental knowledge in all its components: historical, artistic, cultural and naturalistic. The topics are dealt with "one field", in order to get data and information, followed by scientific research in the lab and material elaboration in the multimedia classroom.

PERCHE' BORMIDA: il progetto prende il nome dall’omonima valle, incuneata fra Langhe e Alto Monferrato, che punta in questi anni ad un rilancio della propria immagine, riscoprendo i prodotti tipici locali (funghi, tartufi, miele, amaretti, frutta, vini ecc.), le bellezze naturali, gli interessi storici ed artistici dei suoi antichi borghi collinari.

BORMIDA IN WEB: dal 2001 gli argomenti trattati compaiono su internet sottoforma di articoli, spesso con relativa traduzione in inglese, per legare la nostra scuola alla realtà locale e contribuire così alla valorizzazione del territorio.

FINALITA' FORMATIVE: far apprezzare agli alunni le potenzialità del territorio e nello stesso tempo qualificarli per la ricerca di uno sbocco occupazionale nei settori: enologico, agroalimentare ed erboristico.

WHY BORMIDA: the project is named after BORMIDA VALLEY wedged between "Langhe" and "Monferrato" aiming in these years at a relaunching its immage, rediscovering the typical local products (mushrooms, truffles, honey, "amaretti", fruits, wine etc...) the natural beauties, the historical and artistic inheritance of its ancient hill villages.

BORMIDA IN WEB: stating from this year, the topics will appear on the internet as articles with the corresponding english translation, in order to link our school to the local reality and therefore to contribute to its enhancement.

FORMATIVE END: the students will learning to apprecciate their territory potentialites, will be able to become qualified when looking for a future employment in the oenological, agro-industrial and herbalist branches.
